	Engaged an advocate to support legislative proposals that enhance retail energy market opportunities and oppose legislative proposals that would disadvantage competitive energy suppliers. This was accomplished through communications before the legislature and regulatory agencies.

	Engaged in a public education and awareness campaign aimed at supporting legislation to reopen the suspended retail energy market. Efforts included outreach to customers of retail providers as well as a press release and other media communications highlighting consumer benefits of retail electric competition as well as the disadvantages to the citizens of california of a suspended market. The social welfare of the members of the Alliance was furthered through increased awareness of the suspension and how lifting of that suspension created renewed market opportunities for Alliance Members as well as customer benefits.
