	Lobbying and Policy Advocacy: Public Safety Action Network (PSAN) advocated for improving civil asset forfeiture processes and protecting property rights of innocent owners at both the state and federal level. PSAN collaborated with other nonprofits, criminal justice advocates, and law enforcement to engage in both grassroots and direct lobbying efforts at the federal and state level. PSAN assisted with drafting legislation, testified before state legislatures, and participated in press conferences to support reform measures that will promote oversight, accountability, and transparency by government agencies undertaking asset forfeitures, and reforms to protect the due process rights of citizens. PSAN participated in state specific events in Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. PSAN staff also collaborated with other organizations by speaking at various events and participating in summits highlighting civil asset forfeiture issues. PSAN engaged traditional and social media to highlight current issues and activity on forfeiture reform.
