What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT. EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PROTECT THE LIVES AND PROPERTY OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE BOROUGH OF SOMERVILLE FROM LOSS OR DESTRUCTION BY FIRE.
