What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO IMPROVE THE PUBLIC'S TOTAL HEALTH, THE MISSION OF THE OREGON DENTAL HYGIENISTS ASSOCIATION IS TO ADVANCE THE ART AND SCIENCE OF DENTAL HYGIENE BY ENSURING THE PUBLIC'S DIRECT ACCESS TO QUALITY ORAL HEALTH CARE, INCREASING AWARENESS OF THE COST-EFFECTIVE BENEFITS OF PREVENTION, PROMOTING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF DENTAL HYGIENE EDUCATION, LICENSURE, PRACTICE AND RESEARCH, AND REPRESENTING AND PROMOTING THE INTEREST OF DENTAL HYGIENISTS.

28 The organization participated in an advocacy day in February 2015 with students, registered dental hygienists and guests in attendance. An Expanded Practice Dental Hygiene conference was held in May in the Eugene area. Approximately 65 hygienists were in attendance. The Annual session / Oregon Dental Hygiene Conference was held in November in Portland. Approximately 85 professionals and 180 students were in attendance. ODHA also had a table at the Oregon Dental Conference in April to provide information and outreach to dental hygiene attendees and students.
