What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? As a Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, AIA Alaska serves Architects, Interns, and affiliated members throughout the state. By advancing our shared values of Community, Knowledge and Advocacy, AIA members strive to make the world a better place for everyone to live, work and play. AIA Alaska is the leading professional membership association in Alaska for licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners and serves as the voice of the architecture profession and the resource for our members in service to society.

Explanation:
Form 8868 was filed, followed by an additional extension request. The form was turned into the Chugiak Alaska post office counter at 4:55 on the deadline date, and subsequent additional 3 month submitted to the Eagle River post office by 4:00 pm on the deadline date. No notice of the extension has been received by AIA Alaska to date - but due to our tax accountant notifying us early this year that they would not longer be providing services to non-profits we are in a financial review mode and in the need of obtaining services from another paid preparer if this is not acceptable. We respectfully request your consideration in allowing for the extensions and viewing this return as timely?
