Form 990, Part I, Line 6	The organization is always looking for willing volunteers who want to become members and participate in operational and administrative functions. Operational- These members take care of the day-to-day activities in addition to their operational duties.Administrative- These members assist in the daily operations at the fire station, but do not serve in a firefighting role.LCFR Staff- These members are career staff from Loudoun Count Fire & Rescue. They work 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm) supplementing the volunteer staff. The volunteer staff is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organization as well as duty crew shifts (6pm-6am) every six days. The firefighters are assigned to duty crews that have rotating schedules. There are currently six duty crews at the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department, with each crew responsible for a 6pm to 6am shift once every six days.
