	Core PNWER Meetings Program-(Capital Visits, Annual Summit and Economic Leadership Forum) In order to promote greater regional collaboration, PNWER facilitates many meetings throughout the year that are fundamental to the PNWER mission. PNWER officers host meetings in the region's state, provincial and territory capitals as well as Washington DC and Ottawa to discuss relevant regional issues with legislative leadership and other government stakeholders. These meetings help voice regional concerns, identify and promote models of success and provide an opportunity for PNWER to serve as a conduit to exchange information. PNWER also hosts an annual Economic Leadership Forum in the fall which was held in Seattle and was attended by over 150 legislators, government and business leaders from across the region to discuss specific issues impacting the regional economy. Likewise, each summer PNWER also hosts an Annual Summit which was held in Montana and was attended by over 530 high level legislators, government and private sector leaders from the US and Canada. The Summit consists of 20 working groups related to the regional economy and produces an action plan of specific activities to address regional concerns.

	Disaster Resilience Program focuses on emergency preparedness and disaster resilience projects across the Pacific Northwest to help improve the economic resilience of the region. The program works with states, provinces, territories and communities to create public-private partnerships, develop action plans and lead pilot projects to improve regional disaster resilience. In 2015 PNWER focused on assisting with developing a Disaster Recovery Framework, conducted workshops on cyber security and explored the concept of developing a national digital wireless network for responders.

	Legislative Energy Horizon Institute is a 60 hour course certificate program in energy policy designed specifically for state and provincial legislators. It provides an extensive overview of the North American energy system, from operating energy systems to building and financing infrastructure to regulation methods and market impacts. The program provides legislators with comprehensive, up-to-date information on the nation's complex energy systems; helping them become leaders in energy policy and make better informed decisions. 40 legislators from across the US and Canada attended this course and over 150 have graduated to date.
