Membership in Young Presidents Organization is comprised of chief executives running large companies who seek out one another to share experiences. Founded in New York City in 1950, YPO unites approximately 20,000 business leaders in more than 120 countries around a shared mission Better Leaders Through Education and Idea Exchange. The members of the exempt organization select the members of the chapters governing body in elections that are held, regularly, in accordance with the chapters by-laws. The Governing Bodys decisions are ultimately subject to oversight by the Parent Organization.
