What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? National Association for Public Defenders (NAPD) works to secure justice for poor people, people of color, and other disenfranchised groups in this country, who are represented by public defenders by providing training and assistance to public defender leaders and staff, and by working with funders, legislators, government agencies, and other policy makers to enhance the quality of indigent defense systems in this country.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
