All aspects of those discussions demonstrate how asking different questions leads to more powerful results. Supported one of Creating the Futures fellows in proposing for a Robert Woods Johnson Foundation community demonstration project. While we did not get the grant, we demonstrated to our fellows that this is their organization, with resources to support their own community initiatives. Began planning for the Sharing Stories initiative. creating a platform for people to share stories of Catalytic Thinking in Action. CONVENING AND ENGAGING In-person convenings - Portland City Club 200 community leaders, Portland conversation between grantmakers and community members, Portland Executive Directors Training Program, Willamette Valley Development Officers 200 attendees, Montreal Next Edge Festival. Facebook group for Community Benefit Consultants - 4 moderators facilitated hundreds of individual discussions with almost 1,000 comments during 2015. Community members consistently identify this as their go-to group of peer advisors.
