Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 4 THE MISSION STATEMENT WAS REVISED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN JUNE 2015.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 The Vision Center has four types of membership: (1) Full Membership is any person, firm or corporation conducting business in North America, whose primary business is the manufacturing, processing and/or distribution of optical equipment, frames, lenses, contact lenses and other eyewear and eyecare related products, and/or services who is a current exhibitor at a VCA-sponsored trade show. (2) Associate Membership is any person or company who provides services to optical industry, or any person, firm or corporation, who meets the description of a Full member, but who is not a current exhibitor at VCA-sponsored trade shows. (3) Exhibitor Membership is any person or company who is a paid exhibitor at one VCA-sponsored show per calendar year, and who is either not eligible for, or does not pay the dues and fees required for a Full or Associate membership. (4) Trade Media Membership is any person, firm, or corporation providing trade media services to Regular, Full or Associate Members of VCA.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Full Members are allowed to cast one vote in any mater requiring a vote by the membership or in the election of the Officers and Directors. Associate Members are allowed to cast one vote in any mater requiring a vote by the membership or in the election of the Officers and Directors except as otherwise provided in the bylaws. Exhibitor members are allowed one vote in the VCA election for Officers and Directors. Trade Media members have no voting privileges.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11 Time Permitting, the Form 990 will be reviewed by the Finance Committee, of which three of the four members are on the Board of directors. The Finance Committee is charged with the responsibility to review all financial matters on behalf of the BOD.
