Schedule D, Part V, Line 4 Intended uses of endowment funds THE UNITED WAY BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVES THE TRANSFER FROM THE BOARD DESIGNATED ENDOWMENT FUND AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO 4.8% OF ITS AVERAGE VALUE OF THE PAST THREE YEARS, AS MEASURED ON DECEMBER 31ST. THE FUNDS ARE TO BE SPENT ON IMMEDIATE NEEDS OF THE ORGANIZATION.
Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 FIN 48 (ASC 740) footnote On July 29, 2009, the Organization implemented ASC 740, Income Taxes. ASC 740 creates a single model to address uncertainty in income tax provisions and prescribes a minimum recognition threshold a tax position is required to meet before being recognized in the financial statements. It also provides guidance on derecognition, measurement, classification, interest, and penalties, disclosure and transition. There was no impact on the Organization's financial statements as a result of the implementation of ASC 740. The Organization does not believe its financial statements include (or reflect) any uncertain tax position.

COMMUNITY IMPACT REQUIRES COLLABORATION ACROSS ALL SECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY - BUSINESS, EDUCATION, LOCAL GOVERNMENT, NONPROFITS, FAITH BASED, LABOR UNIONS AND THE MEDIA.
