What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? American Legion Post 247 exists to support and care for local veterans, to mentor youth in the local community, and to promote patriotism at a local grassroots level.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Boys State & Girls State are programs that introduce local high school students to the structure and function of the Federal government by providing a program where each participant becomes a part of the operation of his local county and state government. This program serves 2 high school students annually.
