	The Academy coordinates research in veterinary dermatology; publishes an informational/educational newsletter for members; and provides networking and educational opportunities for member veterinarians as well as member veterinary students and member veterinary technicians. The Academy offers an annual award to a senior veterinary student at each veterinary school who excels in Clinical Dermatology. It also has available The Frank Kral Award for Achievements in Veterinary Dermatology, which provides an avenue for recognition of outstanding achievements. The Academy donates to the American College of Veterinary Dermatology Research Foundation which helps to fund awards to graduate students for the advancement of veterinary dermatology.
