The Taste of South Tampa is an annual outdoor festival offering live entertainment, give-aways, and prizes with an array of food and drink samples from various local restaurants. Local restaurants compete for an award of Best of the Taste of South Tampa.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4d Program Service Expenses 49,308, Grants and allocations 0, Revenue 66,037 The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce conducts numerous programs throughout the year to carryout its mission. These programs include a New Teacher Breakfast, an annual Gala Event, Speed Networking and other networking events, Women in Business events, Small Business Education events, and numerous other programs and events. These programs are summarized on this line.
Form 990, Part III, Line 2 Beginning in 2015, the Chamber held a Business Expo to promote businesses in South Tampa. There were approximately 110 exhibitors and 600 people in attendance.
Form 990, Part III, Line 3 The Chamber discontinued its Health Expo in 2015.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12a Specific questions on the Form 990 were discussed with the President CEO of the Chamber during the course of the preparation of this Form. A copy of the Form 990 was provided to both the President and Treasurer of the Chamber for their review prior to filing. After their review, a discussion was held concerning the specific content of the Form 990. A copy of the draft Form 990 was then distributed to each member of the governing body of the Chamber for their review and comment. After providing an opportunity for comment from members of the governing body, the Form 990 was filed with the IRS.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 15 The Executive Committee of the Chamber is responsible for determining compensation of the Chambers Executive Director. The Executive Committee is comprised of independent persons. The Executive Committee reviewed comparable data provided by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals and the American Association of Chamber Executives. The Executive Committee evaluated this comparible data and held significant discussions in evaluating the performance of the Executive Director of the Chamber is determining the compensation of this individual.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The Chamber would consider a request to inspect its governing documents and financial statements on a case by case basis taking into consideration the reason for the request.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 7 The Chamber is a membership organization. As such, the members elect the members of the governing body.
