Briefly describe the organization’s mission: THE TIPTON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO WORK IN COOPERATION WITH CITY OF TIPTON OFFICIALS TO MARKET THE CITY OF TIPTON TO BUSINESSES TO LOCATE OR EXPAND AND PROMOTE ECONOMIC GROWTH FOR THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE. THE ORGANIZATION DOES THIS THROUGH THE FOLLOWING ATIVITIES:1. 40% of our activities consist of presenting our community as a good place for a company to locate or expand. We accomplish this by gathering and collating information regarding infrastructure, site availability and pricing, comparative wage scales and similar facts about our community to present to industrial development prospects. This has been our primary activity since we began in 1986 and will continue to be in the future. This work is done in Tipton by individual volunteer board members.2. 20% of our activities consist of attempting to bring available land under control so we can market the land to prospects at an attractive price to them, as opposed to inflated prices that might be asked b
