INITIAL SEED FUNDING WAS PROVIDED TO YMCAS TO HELP THEM START COMMUNITY INITIATIVES & THE FOUNDATION NOW OFFERS BACKBONE STAFFING AND STRATEGIC SUPPORT TO HELP THE EFFORT SCALE. PARTNERING IN PREVENTION HELPS YMCAS ENGAGE ENTIRE COMMUNITIES IN CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION & INTERVENTION THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH MUNICIPALITIES, SCHOOLS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, ELECTED OFFICIALS, FAITH CENTERS, YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS & CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTERS. FOUNDATION HELPED TO GROW THE INITIATIVE TO REACH OVER 190 YMCAS IN 24 DIFFERENT STATES & TRAIN OVER 95,000 PEOPLE BY THE END OF 2015. THE ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO EXTEND THE PROGRAM TO ENOUGH COMMUNITIES TO MAKE CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION EDUCATION AND AWARENESS THE NEW NORM THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. 265,689

THE FOUNDATION PARTNERED WITH THE USA SWIMMING FOUNDATION TO BEGIN AN ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING TO SWIM'S ACADEMIC AND DEVELOPMENTAL BENEFITS. IF PROVEN TO HAVE THOSE BENEFITS, IT WOULD BE MUCH EASIER TO GET SCHOOL BOARDS AND FUNDERS TO SUPPORT SWIMMING AS A PART OF THE SCHOOL DAY FOR ALL KIDS.
