Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b InFaith Community Foundation provides a copy of this Form 990 to all members of its governing body before filing the form.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c Every year, each director of InFaith Community Foundation is required to complete a conflict of interest disclosure.

Porm 990, Part VI, Line 19 InFaith Community Foundation makes its governing body documents, conflict of interest policy and financial statements available to the public upon request.
Form 990, Part III, Line 2 Donor Services InFaith Community Foundation (the Foundation) advanced its mission through a number of donor and program services in 2015. -Improved online services were introduced to donors/fund advisors throughout 2015. Through DonorView at InFaithFound.org, donors/fund advisors now have expanded access to a number of services to help manage their charitable funds. These services include the opportunity to request one-time or recurring grants to favorite charities, access charitable fund and gift documents (including agreements for charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts), review the grant history and add online access for additional parties, such as family members and/or financial advisors. -In order to provide donors and organizations with more opportunity to align their giving interests with the investment allocation of their funds gift assets, customized investment allocation options were promoted to donors/fund advisors with a Dynamic Donor Advised Fund or Organizational Endowment Fund. Assets may be allocated among the Foundations Growth Portfolio, Mission Portfolio and/or Income Portfolio to match their specific grant making goals. -The grant minimum for Dynamic Donor Advised Funds and Organizational Endowment Funds was reduced to $200 (from $300) for enhanced giving flexibility. -InFaith Community Foundations website, InFaithFound.org, was continually updated and refreshed to provide donor-friendly access to InFaith giving options, tools and resources. WomenGive inFaith InFaith Community Foundation began an effort to explore and serve the Christian womens market as a potential area of opportunity and growth over the next three to five years. The exploration process included first learning the needs and interests of women currently engaged in giving through InFaith and non-donor women within Christian denominations. Market research led to the development of WomenGive InFaith, engaging all women of faith to use their talents and passions to educate, advocate and activate change for women and girls. The Foundation will launch the program in 2016, offering half-day retreats for women to support one another in learning about charitable giving tools, financial planning and ways to take action that strengthens each womans capacity to create change.
Form 990, Part III, Line 4a Donors continue to spread joy and change lives through 4,241 charitable funds established at InFaith Community Foundation. -Donors made gifts totaling $70.53 million to InFaith in 2015, making it one of the top giving years in the Foundation's history. -Individual and families created 248 new Donor Advised Funds in 2015. Faith-based nonprofits and churches established 23 new Endowment Funds. Collectively, these charitable funds provide millions of dollars to charities serving our local, national and global communities. Each donor gift and charitable fund play an integral role in InFaith's mission, as together we change lives and spread joy by sharing our blessings with the world. -Grants from InFaith Donor Advised Funds, Endowment Funds and Collaborative Funds totaled $17.56 million in 2015. -The majority of InFaith grants, 79%, were distributed to charities recommended by donors through InFaith Donor Advised Funds. Another 18% of grant distributions were from Organizational Endowment Funds of churches and faith-based nonprofits, and 3% were from InFaith Collaborative Funds and special projects. -Donor satisfaction remained high at 94% in 2015. Donor feedback through surveys, focus groups and personal conversations also provided valuable ideas on how InFaith can better serve its donors. -The Foundation continually monitors its three investment portfolios Growth, Mission and Income to support gift and grant activity and fulfil donors charitable intentions. The Foundation adheres to the investment fundamentals of professional active management, allocation among seven asset classes and a long-term investment strategy for donor gift assets. -To maintain accountability as stewards of Foundation gifts and funds, the Foundation kept donors informed of charitable fund performance and activity through quarterly reports, online access, annual report and an annual investment call featuring the Foundations investment advisor, Cambridge Associates. Donors continue to be encouraged to call the Foundation for any questions they have on their charitable funds. -Improvements in technology continued in 2015, with expanded online access for donors and custom investment allocation. -InFaith earned its 20th consecutive clean audit from independent auditors in 2015. InFaith also earned top ratings from Charity Navigator and GuideStar for sound fiscal management, transparency and commitment to excellence. -The Foundation conducted thorough due diligence processes with multiple checks and balances to verify that all grantees were qualifying recipients and in good standing. -Types of charities recommended to receive support include: churches (29%); education (23%); human services (15.5%); faith- based nonprofits (16%); health services (7%); arts and culture (2%); environmental concerns (2.5%); disaster relief (2.5%); and other (2.5%). -Through ongoing measurement and reporting, the Foundations Board of Directors monitored results of the three Board-defined outcomes in 2015: 1) Encourage the faith community, together with all Christians, to experience joy in giving; 2) To connect assets, opportunities and needs so that lives are transformed; and 3) Create effective, positive and lasting change of communities and institutions. -Assets of the Foundation reached $341.9 million as of December 31, 2015.
Form 990, Part III, Line 4b Program Initiatives of the InFaith Collaborative Funds InFaith Community Foundations mission and vision are driven by a rich Christian tradition of working together to address important and diverse societal issues with creativity, passion and purpose. Through its Collaborative Funds, the Foundation focuses on engaging in meaningful grant making with measurable results. Donor gifts allow the Foundation to facilitate larger, strategic grants that work alongside public charities at the ground level, and create strategic responses to issues facing our shared community. Donor interests, community assessment and research guide how the community benefits. Gifts of any size are welcome to any of the InFaith Collaborative Funds. Following are 2015 grant highlights from InFaith Collaborative Funds. Ending Family Violence Initiative For eight years, the Foundation has provided approximately $100,000 annually for church leader training across the country in partnership with FaithTrust Institutes Safe and Healthy Churches. Through this program, FaithTrust brings together local church and lay leaders to help them identify signs of domestic abuse among their members and connect them with on-the-ground social service providers in their area to establish a network of resources. The 2015 training program was held in King-of-Prussia, Pa., with approximately 50 attendees over a two day span. Church clergy and lay leaders returned to their churches equipped to respond to victims/survivors and be safe places for the most vulnerable from a faith-based perspective.
Form 990, Part III, Line 4c Creation Care Initiative This initiative takes a Christian approach to building awareness of, and lasting change to, our relationship with Gods creation. The focus of this initiative is threefold: 1) Help churches reduce their energy footprint; 2) Promote leadership around creation care among pastors, laity and resident theologians within the Christian community; and 3) Engage donors around the concern of creation care and support their individual and collective efforts to make an impact. Since 2009, the Creation Care Initiative has granted more than $350,000 to help religious organizations incorporate and lead better environmental practices. In 2015, more than $75,000 was distributed to: -Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA to provide revolving loans to churches interested in reducing energy consumption and costs through building projects outside of their financial capacity; -Concordia Seminary to provide LCMS churches with resources and practical ways to bring environmental mindfulness to buildings and grounds, public witness, or personal discipleship; and -EcoFaith Recovery to mentor 20 youth interns and develop their leadership capacity.
Form 990, Part III, Line 4d InFaith Field of Interest Funds InFaith Field of Interest: Health Services A $10,000 grant was distributed to Wheat Ridge Ministries in Illinois for the purpose of supporting two churches launching new health and wellness initiatives through "Joshua Grants." Participating churches must raise an amount equal to the grant to be eligible. The grant from InFaith seeks to expand the reach of the Joshua Grant program. Disaster Response Field of Interest Fund The Foundation granted $11,000 to benefit Camp Noah of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. Camp Noah serves children in disaster-affected communities to help them cope and readjust after significant trauma and changes to their communities. One camp receiving support was for children affected by an EF-3 tornado that hit Brookport, Illinois, where three people lost their lives and nearly 50 homes were destroyed. Another camp was held in Ferguson, Missouri, in response to civil unrest and community trauma after the shooting of a young citizen, Michael Brown, in August of 2014. One hundred percent of parents surveyed would recommend Camp Noah to other families. One parent summarized the camps impact as "My children are more confident and more prepared to handle whatever life sends their way." ELCA Field of Interest Fund In 2015, the Foundation granted $8,600 to the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA to support the Syrian Refugee Crisis efforts through Lutheran Disaster Response. Ongoing conflict in Syria has displaced millions of people and Lutheran Disaster Response, working through partners in Syria and surrounding areas, is focused on meeting the needs of Syrian refugees who have traveled to Jordan. The Foundation also granted $5,000 to the Justice for Women Program of the ELCA. The grant helped to update and revise materials to more accurately reflect the final ELCA social message on gender-based violence, and was adopted by the Church Council of the ELCA in November 2015. Human Services Field of Interest Fund Upbring, formerly Lutheran Social Service of the South, was granted $5,000 in general operating support to continue much-needed programs. This grant benefitted a statewide therapeutic foster care program, which supports children in the Texas foster care system by providing stability through homes and counseling. Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) Field of Interest Fund A $70,000 grant was distributed to the LCMS for its parish nurse program to strengthen the physical and spiritual health of LCMS parishes across 35 districts, including two Convocations to share knowledge and build connections and community. Education Field of Interest Fund A $5,000 grant provided a scholarship for a high school senior who is an active member of a church with an endowment Fund at InFaith Community Foundation. The 2015 scholarship recipient attends an area technical institute.
