Briefly describe the organization’s mission: General Aviation Manufacturers Association, Inc. (the Association) is a nonprofit association organized under the laws of the District of Columbia on January 1, 1970. The purpose of the Association is to promote the interests of general aviation both nationally and internationally by: (1) improving the safety of traveling via general aviation airplanes; (2) promoting the use of general aviation products; (3) ensuring that the public's understanding of general aviation safety is complete and accurate; (4) ensuring public understanding that without general aviation, a country's air transportation system cannot meet the full range of its citizen's air transportation needs, especially in rural, lesser developed and underdeveloped areas.

	Government Relations - Promotes general aviation policy objectives through legislative and advocacy efforts. GAMA regularly meets with legislators to promote the economic contributions and societal benefits of general aviation as well as advocate policies that benefit manufacturing jobs and industry competitiveness. GAMA also conducts advocacy efforts that highlight the contributions of GAMA member companies and their workforce in key states and localities. Finally, GAMA serves as a resource to legislators for technical and regulatory assistance with the goal of ensuring pending legislation promotes safety and yields effective and efficient oversight by relevant safety agencies.

	International Issues - GAMA works around the world to improve market access for its member companies' products. We identify regulatory, legislative, fiscal, policy and other barriers to general aviation products in important developing and emerging markets. We work directly with regulatory authorities to ensure that safety regulations do not discriminate against general aviation and that other policies and regulations do not impede the importation, registration and operation of general aviation products. We do this through cooperative and collaborative relationships with local, regional, and international aviation groups such as IBAC (International Business Aviation Council) and national associations like EBAA in Europe, BAOA in India, MEBAA in the Middle East and North Africa and ASBAA in the Asia Pacific region. We also work with the US Dept. of Transportation and the United States Trade Development Agency (USTDA) and Department of Commerce to advocate with foreign governments at the highest level for open markets for aviation products and services.

The member companies of the Association have business relationships with each other (e.g. as suppliers of component parts, etc.). These are arms length relationships between independent business entities. The exact nature and extent of these relationships are not available.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 6: Explanation of Classes of Members or Shareholder	The Association's voting membership consists of 79 companies in the general aviation field. Each member company designates one individual to serve on the Board of Directors. Every board member is elected by the full Board of Directors. Members of the Board of Directors serve without compensation.The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Association. All directors are voting members of the Board of the Directors.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b: Form 990 Review Process	The members of the Association's Board of Directors are higher echelon officers of member companies. The board members do not have the time and/or expertise to review the Form 990. The Board of Directors have authorized the Association to provide a copy of the Form 990 to the members of the Finance Committee before filing the tax return. A complete copy of the Form 990 was e-mailed to all members of the Finance Committee before filing.This return was reviewed by the Director of Accounting and the Corporate Secretary, as well as by the Association's President & CEO.

Peter J. Bunce, President of General Aviation Manufacturers Association, Inc., is the Chairman of GAMAPAC. Mr. Bunce provides administrative services to GAMAPAC without compensation. GAMAPAC uses the Association's office space without rent. GAMAPAC does not have any paid employees.GAMAPAC receives personal political contributions from GAMA member companies executives and member companies PACs, and contributes to the campaign committees of federal candidates for the legislative branch. GAMAPAC files Form 1120-POL annually.
