    Summary of Direct Charitable Activities
    List the foundation’s four largest direct charitable activities during the tax year. Include relevant statistical information such as the number of organizations and other beneficiaries served, conferences convened, research papers produced, etc. Expenses
    1 Advising Grants - The Master's Plan Foundation (MPF) provides advice to the National Christian Foundation (NCF) regarding a donor-advised fund of NCF. During 2013 the Fund had average assets of approximately $8.5M and made grants in excess of $4.3M. MPF performs the analysis and creates a grant making strategy for the Fund. Because the Fund assets are legally controlled by NCF, MPF's financial information does not reflect the impact of its work through this program. Through the Fund The MPF seeks to allocate money to those ministries which carry out God's Plan for discipleship, feeding His sheep, meeting their physical and spiritual needs in the name of and for the purposes of demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ to the world.MPF advises grants to ministries operating internationally that are focused on making disciples. Grants are broken down into the following categories: Youth (55%), Holistic (14%), Evangelism (13%) Leadership Development (10%), and Church Planting (8%). 1,211,544
    2 Local Youth Initiative - MPF staff is working with Young Life, other youth organizations and churches within Oregon and SW Washington to implement what we are calling "The Big Vision". The Big Vision goal is that every high school and middle school student in Oregon and SW Washington (approximately 400,000) would have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Good News of Jesus Christ and life in Him. We invest our time, expertise and finances to train, equip and partner with organizations for this purpose. We propose to see a group of individuals, organizations and churches organize around each middle and high school for the purpose of seeing kids reached with the Gospel. 266,740
    3 Conferences - MPF hosts and runs a yearly Discipleship Camp at Young Life's Washington Family ranch in the spring which has historically been attended by 350-500 people. We work closely with a team of volunteers from local churches and ministries to put this event on in the hopes of seeing a movement of disciple makers grow throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. Throughout the year we work closely with individuals who have this same vision to help them implement disciple making within their church and organization.MPF has created a website that serves as a discipleship resource center and includes a discipleship tool we created called "Come And See" that is available free to download. The website and Come And See tool are continually updated as new and better tools and information become available. 0
    4 OTHER WORKS - MPF IS COMMITTED TO SERVING THE LOCAL CHURCH, FURTHERING THE BIBLICAL MESSAGE OF GENEROSITY, AND ENCOURAGING KINGDOM COLLABORATION. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH A VARIETY OF MEANS INCLUDING HOSTING PASTORAL RETREATS, HOSTING EVENTS FOR CHURCHES IN THE PORTLAND METRO AREA, AND SPONSORING GENEROUS GIVING EVENTS. WE CONVENE KINGDOM-MINDED INDIVIDUALS WITH THE HOPE OF ENCOURAGING THEM TO LIVE OUT THEIR FAITH AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
