Briefly describe the organization’s mission: St Joe Valley Conservation Club is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes to: Establish and maintain such land holdings and facilities to support the promotion, teaching, and practice of the organized shooting sports. Impartially educate communities as to the value of organized shooting sports and of the preservation of the natural areas that support such sports. Develop scientific, educational, and public recreational uses of the organization's property consistent with the promotion of the shooting sports. Promote the preservation of wildlife habitat. Cooperate with and to encourage other organizations and individuals in carrying out the foregoing activities.

	The skeet and trap range provides facilities and service in support of the Club's objective of education and charitable activities. Educational shooting activities are conducted throughout the year and consist of nationally sanctioned skeet and trap competitions, league shooting, formal shotgun training for members, youth, and the general public. The range also provides a charitable venue for charitable fund riasing activities by outside organizations with proceeds funding their 501 (c) (3) mission objectives.

	St Joe Valley Conservation Club maintains approximately 100 acres of its land holdings in Conservation Reserve Program set-aside. The Conservation Reserve Program is used to promote natural areas for wildlife habitat.

	The Club holds numerous Indiana Deparment of Natural Resources sanctioned hunter education classes throughout the year. All courses are offered by St. Joe Valley Conservation Club free of charge to the participants. The curriculum is designed to teach firearm safety, the correct use and storage of firearms, and to promote outdoor safety. Training of the youth in gun safety, marksmanship, and increased participation in shooting sports is served by the AIM program and the 4-H shooting programs.
