Explanation

Monitoring procedures (Part I, line 2)

The Association has a committee that develops criteria for the eligibility of scholarships. Students apply for the scholarships and the committee reviews the applications and selects the recipients based on the criteria established. In addition to the scholarships the Association acted as fiscal agent for the California Teachers Association (CTA). The Association monitored the grants in accordance with the guidelines provided by CTA.
