| Form 990, Part VI, Line 6: Explanation of Classes of Members or Shareholder | Membership in the Association is extended to persons involved in or associated with the business or profession of mortgage loan brokering, who have a place of business in California.Professional members are the managers, owners, or brokers of record of their companies, whose primary business is loan origination, who hold licenses issued by the California Department of Real Estate, Department of Corporations or Department of Financial Institutions, and whose licenses are in good standing. An individual who is not the manager, owner, or broker of record of his or her company may elect to join as a Professional member provided he or she has a DRE license or any other license to originate mortgage loans issued by the State of California, and a CRMS or CMC designation from the National Association of Mortgage Brokers(NAMB). Professional members have voting privileges and may serve on the State Board of Directors. Associate members are mortgage loan originators who are not brokers of record, owners or managers at their employing loan brokerage firm, and who meet certain sets of qualifications. Associate members have voting privileges in the affairs of the Association but may not serve on the State Board of Directors.Affiliate members are individuals whose business is other than that of retailloan origination (e.g., appraiser, bank, title officer, lender, attorney, vendor, etc.),but who has an interest in supporting mortgage brokers in general, and theAssociation, in particular. Affiliate members have voting privileges, may serve oncommittees and may serve as an Advisory Director on the State Board ofDirectors. Statewide Industry Partner members are companies whose primary business activity is other than that of retail loan origination and who have a statewide presence. Industry Partner members may serve on the Statewide Industry Partners Advisory Committee. Primary contact receives membership in NAMB. Designated representatives do not receive membership in NAMB, but NAMB membership may be purchased foran additional expense for each representative. Primary member has votingprivileges, may serve on committees, and may serve as an Advisory Director on the State Board of Directors.Broker/Banker Company members are mortgage loan origination companies or branch offices that are comprised of one Professional member and up to 39 loan originators in addition to the Professional member, whose primary business is retail loan origination. Only one designated contact for the company has one vote in CAMP/NAMB affairs, representing the will of the company. All listed members of CAMP/NAMB working for this company must qualify for and obtain the Lending Integrity Seal within a specified period after joining CAMP, or joining the company, as determined by the CAMP Board of Directors, and are strongly encouraged to obtain a GMA, CRMS, or CMC designation.designation.
