What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? NAWBO Greater Detroit provides information, education and training, resources and networking OPPORTUNITIES TO ITS WOMEN BUSINESS OWNER MEMBERS.

28 MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD, WITH FIVE KEY EVENTS THAT TYPICALLY FEATURE KEY NOTE SPEAKERS. THE TOP 10 MICHIGAN BUSINESS WOMEN AWARDS HONORS KEY WOMEN IN THE METROPOLITAN DETROIT AREA. THE ANNUAL MEETING BLENDS THE ASSOCIATION'S YEARLY BOARD NOMINATIONS, INDUCTIONS AND REPORTS, AND INCLUDED FORMAL MEMBER PRESENTATIONS. THE WOMEN ON BOARD EVENT FOCUSED ON WOMEN IN CORPORATE C-SUITES. THE GOLF OUTING WAS A KEY NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY. THE HOLIDAY EVENT IS A TIME TO FEATURE WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS SELLING RETAIL GOODS.CIRCLE OF LEARNING EVENTS ARE HELD THE OTHER 7 MONTHS ON THE 2ND TUESDAY OF THE MONTH, AND ATTRACT ABOUT 25-50 ATTENDEES. WE HAVE HELD COL EVENTS AT HOST BUSINESS SITES WITH SPEAKING TOPICS ON NETWORKING, WORKPLACE CULTURE, FRANCHISING, AND PUBLIC SPEAKING.
