	Annual Convention: gathered almost 900 grain producers and agribusiness representatives for educational opportunities and workshops, training, certification processes, equipment innovations, marketing updates and idea exchange.

	Montana MarketManager program: provides MGGA members with the tools and information necessary to maximize profits from grain markets using timely information and news. The Montana MarketManager website (www.montanamarketmanager.org) receives an average of 20,000 visits per month. Access to proprietary information is provided to all MGGA members.

	Montana Grain News publication: a monthly publication for MGGA members with ongoing, up-to-date information on agricultural issues. Approximately 1200 copies per month are distributed by mail in 12 issues per year to our 1100 members and to other educational, legislative and agricultural interests. 	MGGA contracts with a lobbyist during Montana state legislative sessions held during each odd-numbered year and MGGA staff and officers attend state legislative hearings to lobby on behalf of the interests of its members. In the summer before the Montana legislature convened, MGGA hosted a two-day educational tour for a select group of state legislators to provide information and education about Montana production agricultural issues that might arise during the session, as well as to encourage support for Montana Agricultural Research Centers.

Form 990, Part III, Line 2	A legislator educational tour was conducted with the purpose of increasing understanding of Montana production agriculture issues that might arise during the legislative season.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6	The association is composed of producer members who have the right to vote on policy issues and elect directors, and associate members (agribusiness) who do not have the right to vote or elect directors. Members pay annual dues to obtain membership.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a	Election of the Board of Directors of the association and approval of the association's Resolutions are reserved to the producer membership of the association.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b	Each year the Board of Directors reviews the Resolutions governing the Montana Grain Growers Association, making suggested revisions, additions and deletions. The proposed changes are put to vote by the membership at the MGGA Annual Convention held in December.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	A copy of the IRS Form 990 is provided via email to the Board of Directors for their review prior to filing.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c	The Board of Directors reviews the Conflict of Interest policy annually and addresses any potential conflicts as they arise during the year.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15	The Board of Directors annually reviews and approves the compensation package for the association's executive director; this was last accomplished in October, 2016. Officers are not compensated.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19	The association's policy resolutions are published annually in its member magazine, which is available to members both in print and online at the association's website. Governing documents, financial statements and conflict of interest policy are available to the general public upon request. The IRS Form 990 is also available on Guidestar.com.
