What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The main activities of this Water Cooperative is to own, construct, operate and maintain a domestic water service for approximately 45 residential lots with a capacity of servicing up to 90 residential lots, some of which are vacant and some of which have houses. The activity of consists of keeping the system operating and in good repair, keeping the property and facilities in safe condition and good repair, administrating the Cooperative's Membership and Board of Directors.

Explanation:
There was a change in Board Officers where the previous filer moved out of the area and the tax return filing was overlooked and thus delayed. There have not been late fees in the past; the current 2015-2016 fiscal year has been reconciled and closed and the tax reporting form is being prepared and will be transmitted by July 31, 2016. UPDATED 6/20/2017 we recently received notice from IRS that the last two filings (for 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. We have redone them again here and will confirm with IRS that they actually transmitted.
