THE METHODOLOGY USED BY THE CONSULTANT WAS TWO PEER GROUPS-A NATIONAL PEER GROUP OF COMPARABLY-SIZED HOSPITALS AND SINGLE HOSPITAL SYSTEMS AND A REGIONAL PEER GROUP OF HOSPITALS AND SYSTEMS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, THE DATA OF WHICH IS PROVIDED TO THE COMMITTEE IN ITS REPORT. THE NATIONAL DATA IS USED AS THE PRIMARY COMPARATOR FOR THE ANALYSIS. THE COMMITTEE IS PRESENTED WITH CHARTS THAT COMPARE ORGANIZATION SALARIES TO THE LEVEL TARGETED IN THE COMPENSATION PHILOSOPHY.
