What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Purpose of the Great Lakes Dance Swing Club is a Social Club to encourage, promote and enjoy swing dancing of all forms, while giving members the opportunity to meet new friends. While primarily a swing dance organization, the club recognizes other forms of dance, including social and ballroom dancing.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The GLDSC has approximately 56 dances a year, and each includes an hour long dance lesson. The club provides dance demonstrations and entertainments to local events, senior centers and nursing homes. The club collects money and articles to donate to various charities, such as Childrens Homes, Womens Shelters, the American Heart Association and many others charitable organizations.
