As limited liability companies, Lowell Real Estate, LLC and Regis Northgate, LLC are disregarded entities for income tax purposes. However, the University, New Ventures, and Regis Jesuit Holding are subject to federal income tax on any unrelated business taxable income. Management has determined there was no significant unrelated business income during the years ended April 30, 2016 and 2015. The University files tax returns in the U.S. federal jurisdiction.
