Explanation

Monitoring procedures (Part I, line 2)

Chamber obtains IRS determination letters for 501(c)3 status and financial statements for grant requests. They receive grant requests from various organizations to assist in providing community events in the Denison, Texas area. The board reviews the requests and approve grants to events that promote the Denison area. Board members are involved in community events and monitor that the activities are performed in accordance with grant requests.
