Briefly describe the organization’s mission: As an organization, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows aims to provide a framework that promotes personal and social development. Lodge degrees and activities aim to improve and elevate every person to a higher, nobler plane; to extend sympathy and aid to those in need, making their burdens lighter, relieving the darkness of despair; to war against vice in every form, and to be a great moral power and influence for the good of humanity. For members, the degrees in Odd Fellowship emphasizes a leaving of the old life and the start of a better one, of welcoming travelers, and of helping those in need. The command of the IOOF is to visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead and educate the orphan. Specifically, IOOF today are dedicated to the following purposes:To improve and elevate the character of mankind by promoting the principles of friendship, love, truth, faith, hope, charity and universal justice.To help make the world a better place to live by aiding each other, the

Part IV, Line 2b: The Organization holds tenant security deposits in escrow.
Part X, Line 2: The Grand Lodge and the Village, a disregarded entity, is organized as a North Dakota nonprofit corporation and has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as exempt from federal income taxes under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(8). The Grand Lodge is annually required to file a Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax (Form 990) with the IRS. In addition, the Grand Lodge may be subject to income tax on net income that is derived from business activities that are unrelated to its exempt purpose. The Grand Lodge has determined it is subject to unrelated business income tax and has filed an Exempt Organization Business Income Tax Return (Form 990T) with the IRS. The Grand Lodge believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken affecting its annual filing requirements, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. The Grand Lodge would recognize future accrued interest and penalties related to unrecognized tax benefits and liabilities in income tax expense if such interest and penalties are incurred.
