What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE PURPOSE OF PICA IS TO STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH ALL PEOPLE OF THIS HEMISPHERE WHO REJECT REPRESSION OF HUMAN RIGHTS, STATE-SPONSORED TERROR, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL INJUSTICE, AND ENVIRONMENTAL VIOLENCE BY BUILDING SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITIES LOCALLY AND WITH DISTANT FRIENDS. GROWING IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE CAUSES OF OPPRESSION AND OTHER INJUSTICES, SHARING THEIR VISION WITH OTHERS AND DEVELOPING OUR COMMUNITIES COLLECTIVE POWER TO MAKE SOCIAL CHANGE.
