MACE - MACE is the professional-development, continuing-education organization for chamber of commerce staff and volunteers in the Treasure State. The Montana Chamber of Commerce serves as the administrative body for MACE. Most local chambers of commerce in Montana, including the Montana Chamber, are members of MACE.

Trade/International Programs "Taking Montana to the World" to build Montana's economy through increased international trade. We have hosted and participated in numerous international trade and business development trips around the world. At the same time, we have promoted international visits to Montana, whether for business, tourism, education, or investment. Trade Day, also known as "Global Trade Day and "Manufacturing & International Trade Day," recognizes the importance of exporting and new foreign dollars to Montana. This includes not only the exporting of Montana-made goods and services, but also international tourism, foreign direct investment, and global students.

Membership in the Montana Chamber is required.

Part X, Line 2: As a matter of law, the Chamber is subject to examination by federal taxing authorities. Although management believes that the amounts reflected in the Chamber's exempt tax returns substantially comply with the applicable federal tax regulations, the IRS can take positions contrary to the Chamber's position based on their interpretation of the law. A tax position that is challenged by a taxing authority could result in an adjustment to the financial statements. Generally, federal taxing authorities can include returns filed within the last three years for examination, and additional years can be added if a substantial error is identified. Generally, if a substantial error is identified, the federal taxing authorities will not go back more than the last six years. Any interest and penalties that resulted from such examinations will be expenses in the year they are assessed on statement of revenues, expenses paid and changes in net assets.
