    Explanation:
    The foundation is filing the 2015 990-PF return late because C. Paul Johnson, the creator and principal donor of the foundation, died on April 9, 2015. Following his death the foundation was involved in litigation regarding Mr. Johnson's estate. The litigation was settled on October 28, 2016. The foundation had filed an extension of time to file its 2015 990-PF until November 15, 2016, however the foundation was unable to gather the financial information needed to complete the 2015 returns because the accountant who prepared the 2015 extension ceased to work on the returns and Mr. Johnson's estate had to find another tax preparer.
