What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To teach and promote the playing card game of Duplicate Bridge in the Omaha NE and Council Bluffs IA metro area, and to sponsor and produce local sanctioned tournaments available to anyone who wants to participate.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 CORNHUSKER UNIT 241 INC: The ACBL (acbl.org) and its units work together to secure the future of organized bridge and to reverse the tide of declining membership. Recruit new players. Retain current members. Integrate new members into the organization and made to feel comfortable - a member of our bridge family. The UNIT is the liason between local bridge CLUBS and the ACBL. Activities include: (1) local club bridge games weekly on a regular basis; (2) two tournaments per year designated SECTIONAL for participants living, approximately, driving distance of Omaha; (3) one REGIONAL tournament per year that draws players nation-wide,
