Currently the Organization serves the Villages of Bayville, Centre Island and a portion of the Village of Mill Neck as well as certain Town of Oyster Bay, NY properties.

The fire Company also hosts an annual open house and community relations to promote fire safety, boating safety and fire awareness initiatives.

Part X, Line 2:	The Company qualifies as a tax exempt not-for-profit organization under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code and applicable New York State tax laws. The Company's position is that all support and revenues are substantially related to its exempt purpose; hence, the Company taken the position that it is not subject to federal or state income taxes nor is it required to file federal or state income tax returns. Accordingly, these financial statements show no income tax expense or provision for uncertain income tax positions is required. Generally accepted accounting principles require tax effects from an uncertain tax position to be recognized in the financial statements only if the position is more likely than not to be sustained in the position were to be challenged by a taxing authority. The assessment of the tax position is based solely on the technical merits of the position, without regard to the likelihood the position may be challenged. If an uncertain tax position meets the more-likely-than-not threshold, the largest amount of the tax benefit that is greater than 50% likely to be recognized upon ultimate settlement with the taxing authority is recorded. The Company does not believe that any material uncertain tax positions exist. The Company is in compliance with the filing provisions of IRS Form 990 and tax periods open to inspection by taxing authorities is 2015 - 2017.
