	Grassroots Illinois Action (GIA) coordinates voter engagement and get out the vote activities. Working with partner organizations, GIA provided get out the vote programs in three Chicago neighborhoods (Brighton Park, Humboldt Park and West Town) as well as in the city of Peoria. Grassroots Illinois Action also organized neighbors through its zoning and housing committee to protect affordable housing and increase it, in the Humboldt Park Area of Chicago. GIA held neighborhood canvasses in Chicago and Peoria to identify the issues facing area residents and to encourage more individuals and families to join the organization.
