What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The objective of the Organization shall be to examine how the actions of local governments and other taxing authorities impact the utilization of taxpayer funds.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 1. Monitoring the activities of local governments and identifying those whose actions, whether active or passive, may have diminished the value of the taxpayers investment in the community. Local governments is defined to include local taxing authorities. [Time commitment - 45%. Until membership is in place to assist, the board will prioritize monitoring activity and a board member will conduct the monitoring.]2. Collecting the information and financial data necessary to examine if these decisions did, in effect, adversely impact the communitys fiscal health and/or the utilization of taxpayer funds. Information and financial data will be obtained from publicly available sources and when necessary, through the Freedom of Information Act. [Time commitment - 25%.]3. Analyzing the information and financial data collected; quantifying impact where possible and, sharing results with the membership and others. [Time commitment - 30%. Activity to commence after (2) and to be performed by board member until membership in place to assist.]
