Penalties and interest related to underpayment of income taxes are not recorded as income taxes but as penalties and interest expense. Management has determined that it does not have any material unrecognized tax benefits or obligations as of June 30, 2019. Fiscal years ending on or after June 30, 2016, remain subject to examination by federal and state authorities.

Recipient organizations are required to provide, on request, copies of their audited financial statements. Also, management reviews public relations materials and websites of recipient organizations to confirm that their activities are in line with the organizations stated purposes.
