What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Organization provides fire prevention and public education services to the Town of Roanoke and the surrounding community. This activity has been and is currently the foundation of this organization since its date of formation.The Organization members provides crime scene preservation services, fire suppression services and hazardous material awareness. The Department also provides fire related investigative services, carbon monoxide/smoke alarm inspections, search and rescue (including water and ice extractions). These services are all currently offered to the Town of Roanoke and the surrounding community.The Organization also provides EMS services including non-transport basic life support and support to advanced life support units.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Exempt Purpose: Provided fire prevention and public education services to the Town of Roanoke and the surrounding community. Achievements/Accomplishments: Represented the organization at the following events:-Huntington County 4H Fair - (estimated number of residents/students benefited - 70)-Roanoke Elementary School Fire Prevention Week - (estimated number of students benefited - 70)-Roanoke Fall Festival Extrication Demonstration - (estimated number of residents benefited - 100 residents)-Fire station tour for Roanoke Elementary School, Christ's United Methodist Church, Seminary United Brethren Church and Roanoke Public Library Summer Program - (Estimated children/residents benefited - 105).-Open house for public and annual hog roast - (estimated residents benefited - 100+)-Fort4Fitness Fall Festival First Aid/EMS - (estimated children/adults benefited - 100+).-Open house during Heritage Days and Veterans Day Parade (estimated residents benefited - 600).
