	Raise Up:Grassroots organizing and public education raising attention about the need for paid sick days and family and medical leave, livable wage (higher minimum wage), and protection against workers' rights violations such as wage theft and isclassification of employees - and expanded to include both VT and NH.Accomplishments include:Advancing legislation in both Vermont and New Hampshire State Houses by working closely with our membership and champion legislators to advance bills to raise the minimum wage and implement a statewide paid family and medical leave program through both chambers of the House and Senate. While these bills did not ultimately become law, we helped put the issue front in center in the public debate.We worked to bring forward the voices of directly impacted people who work poverty wage jobs and struggle to be able to support their dependents.

	Movement PoliticsRAD's political education work focuses on developing grassroots movement leaders into the next generation of public servants, policy makers, and legislative champions. In both Vermont and New Hampshire, we provided leadership and public speaking training dozens of our members.Many of the people who attended these trainings, went on to successfully run for local offices and are now serving their communities.

	Member Organizing: Rights & Democracy member organizing is the life blood of our grassroots organizing work. In 2018, RAD held hundreds of one on one meetings with new members, over a dozen member skill and leadership building workshops and help regional chapter meetings to identify member-led issue campaigns to work on key fights facing our communities such as transgender rights, the importance of strong public education, the need for universal health care, as well as harm reduction and drug policy as it relates to the opioid overdose crisis. Working with our leadership we began to outline a regional chapter building strategy for 2019 and beyond.
