The videos were created with a few goals in mind:- To educate North Dakotans about colorectal cancer prevention, detection and treatment- To encourage them to discuss colorectal cancer screening with their providers- To reduce fear and instill hope for recoveryIn the videos Elliott Rhodes of Fort Yates, N.D., and Amanda Houston of Fargo share their personal colorectal cancer stories in the videos and urge you to talk to your doctor about your screening options. 9,900
3 Opioid EventsMisuse and overdose of opioids have become a serious public health problem in North Dakota and throughout the United States. Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota Caring Foundation has partnered with Prairie Public Broadcast, Bell Banks and Dakota Medical Foundation to produce a 30-minute North Dakota state-based documentary. The documentary spotlights some of the most important things North Dakota opioid users, affected families, health care professionals, educators, businesses and community members need to know upfront about the opioid epidemic but most importantly how they can drive action in helping to solve the problem. Our vision of hope identifies solutions from multiple facets with focuses on promotion and prevention, early intervention, and treatment and recovery. We all have a role. Together we will make a difference. 4,184
