What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To provide technical, social, and educational activities for the members. To support the AFCEA Educational Foundation (Erie Canal Chapter) for educational scholarships to students in engineering and science fields. Provide grants to science and mathematics teachers to supplement classroom resources. To support local activities that encourage primary and secondary students to pursue science and engineering careers. Approximately 150 members.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Scholarship Programs: Provided funds to the AFCEA Educational Foundation - Erie Canal Chapter for college scholarships (11 students), science fair awards (8 students), science teacher grants (7 teachers), and grants to local educational programs (2 programs).
