AFTER ASSESSING STRENGTHS AND SKILLS, FAMILY ADVOCATES HELP CLIENTS PURSUE LIVING WAGE CAREERS WITH A PERSONALIZED PLAN THAT SUPPORTS GETTING PROMOTED, GOING TO COLLEGE, OR STARTING THEIR OWN BUSINESS. THROUGH LONG- TERM GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT OF FAMILY ADVOCATES, CLIENTS LEARN TO SET BETTER PERSONAL AND FAMILY GOALS THAT LEAD TO BRIGHTER FUTURES. SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM: IMAGINE BEING LOW-INCOME, STRUGGLING TO PAY RENT, BATTLING DEPRESSION, AND WORRYING ABOUT HOW YOURE GOING TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE. THIS IS THE CASE FOR MANY PARENTS. THE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM OFFERS RESOURCES TO HELP FAMILIES GAIN FINANCIAL SECURITY, OBTAIN PERMANENT HOUSING, AND BUILD STRONGER FOUNDATIONS. LOCAL CHURCHES AND GROUPS PARTNER WITH FRC TO PROVIDE A STRUCTURED ONE-YEAR PROGRAM FOR A FAMILY IN NEED OF HOUSING STABILITY. FAMILIES WORK TOWARD THEIR GOALS WITH AN EXPANDED POSITIVE SUPPORT NETWORK WHICH INCLUDES A VOLUNTEER FAMILY MENTOR.
