What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Intertribal Tax Alliance, Inc., (ITA), exempt purpose is to provide tax education and assistance to federally recognized tribal governments. The ITA accomplishes its exempt purpose by sponsoring and hosting the National Intertribal Tax Conference to provide educational tax information and assistance to tribal governments for the purpose of developing, implementing, and administering various tribal governmental tax programs that raise revenues to defray the cost of providing essential governmental services to tribal communities.

28 The Intertribal Tax Alliance,Inc., sponsored and hosted the National Intertribal Tax Conference that was designed to provide educational tax information and support to tribal governments for the purpose of the development, implementation, compliance, and administration of various tribal governmental tax programs. The National Intertribal Tax Conference was held on the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Reservation August 27-30,2018,with over 150 attendees representing over 75 different tribal governments.
