GEORGE CITY, WASHINGTON COUNTY, DIVISION OF CHILD & FAMILY SERVICES, JUVENILE JUSTICE, WORKFORCE SERVICES, YOUTH SERVICES PROVIDERS, EDUCATOR AND COMMUNITY LEADERS HAVE TOURED THE FACILITY. 40+ PRESENTATIONS WERE GIVEN TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND MEDIA ARTICLES RESULTED IN HUNDREDS OF YOUTH AND ADULTS BEING REACHED AND PROVIDED INFORMATION ABOUT OUR UPCOMING SERVICES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PRESENT PROGRAMMING TO STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOLS. THE SHELTER OPENED OFFICIALLY IN OCTOBER 2018. UPON OPENING THE SHELTER, THE ORGANIZATION WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN ACTIVATING 15 NATIONAL SAFE PLACES IN WASHINGTON COUNTY. ST.
