Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Mission of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association is to advance the cause of veterinary medicine to better the lives of those touched by it. This includes providing for the professional needs of veterinarians so they can provide high-quality medicine of pets and food animals, protect public health and protect the food supply. Through our work of providing advocacy, education, information and resources, member veterinarians and veterinary students are able to focus on their deep commitment to the care and well-being of animals, their owners, and the general public.

	Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference: State meeting for the purposes of continuing education for veterinarians and their staff plus a trade show. 1,125 vets, tech, vet staff, speakers, vendors and guests attended the Tacoma Convention Center. There were 91 booths in the trade show. 18 hours of continuing education credit was possible out of 130+ hours presented.

	One-Day Education Programs: Three individual programs were offered in 2017-2018. Four speakers presented on Veterinarian Pain Management on December 3, 2017 in Renton, WA. There were 95 attendees and 4 hours of CE. Terra Shastri conducted Front Office Training on May 5, 2017 in Renton, WA. There were 36 attendees for 6 hours of CE. The VetMed Matters Conference was presented on the topic of Veterinary Team Retention on February 25, 2018. There were 4 speakers, 74 attendees and 6 hours CE.
