	To encourage economic diversification and revitalization of rural communities in North Dakota and adjacent states, create employment and increase income for displaced farmers and low-income persons, and to enhance essential community services and facilities. To act as an intermediary lender and to develop a sustainable revolving loan pool for rural development lending pursuant to federal regulations and statutes and to provide technical assistance for rural economic development projects. To do all things necessary, suitable, and proper for the accomplishment of any of the purposes or the attainment of the objectives hereinabove stated, either alone or with other corporations, cooperatives, associations, firms or individuals, and to every other act or thing incidental to or growing out of such purpose. In 2018, the following loans were made: City of Mapleton - $33,919 for 3 years at 2% (installing a new concrete sidewalk); City of New Town - $150,000 for 10 years at 2% (building a new fire station); City of New Town - $150,000 for 10 years at 2% (building a new water park); Arnegard Rural Fire District - $250,000 for 10 years at 2% (constructing a new fire hall); Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation - $9,092 for 10 years and 90 days at 0% until Flex PACE proceeds are expended and then 2% until paid off (for multi-family housing rehabilitation); Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation - $4,650 for 10 years and 90 days at 0% until Flex PACE proceeds are expended and then 2% until paid off (for multi-family housing rehabilitation and construction of garages); Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation - $11,583 for 10 years and 90 days at 0% until Flex PACE proceeds are expended and then 2% until paid off (to purchase Ashtabula Crossing); Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation - $30,000 for 70 months and 90 days at 0% until Flex PACE proceeds are expended and then 2% until paid off (for the construction of multi-family apartments); Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation - $16,666.66 for 7.5 years and 90 days at 0% until Flex PACE proceeds are expended and then 2% until paid off (for multi-family housing rehabilitation); Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation - $30,000 for 9 years and 90 days at 0% until Flex PACE proceeds are expended and then 2% until paid off (for construction of multi-family apartments); Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation - $12,500 for 5.5 years and 90 days at 0% until Flex PACE proceeds are expended and then 2% until paid off (for purchase of multi-use building); City of Glen Ullin - $170,000 for 10 years at 2% (street paving project). 2018 Loan Total $868,410.66.
