IN ADDITION, AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE OFFICE FOR VICTIMS PROGRAMS, VIOLENCE FREE COLORADO COMPLETED THE COORDINATION OF A 20-MONTH TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROJECT TO DEVELOP AND LAUNCH EIGHT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOUSING FIRST PROGRAMS AROUND THE STATE TO HELP SURVIVORS INCREASE ACCESS TO, AND RETAIN SAFE, LONG-TERM HOUSING STABILITY THROUGH TAILORED SUPPORTIVE SERVICES. AS A RESULT OF THE PROJECT, 571 SURVIVORS RECEIVED HOUSING ASSISTANCE; 438 RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO SUPPORT THE COST OF LONG-TERM HOUSING AND OTHER NEEDS; AND 871 RECEIVED MOBILE ADVOCACY SERVICES, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE OBTAINING HOUSING. AMONG OTHER IMPACTS, 90% OF SURVIVORS WERE ABLE TO OBTAIN HOUSING AS A RESULT OF THESE NEW PROGRAMS; 95% OF SURVEYED SURVIVORS REPORTED INCREASED SAFETY AND STABILITY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR CHILDREN; 264 AND LANDLORDS WERE ENGAGED, SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDING AVAILABILITY AND OPTIONS FOR LONG-TERM, AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR SURVIVORS AND VICTIMS OF CRIME.
