What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? American River Recreation Association's mission has been to promote eco-friendly transportation for visitors and residents of the Coloma-Lotus Valley also provide economic promotion and advertising for the businesses of the Coloma-Lotus Valley. Beginning with 2018, the American River Recreation Association will refocus it's main mission on river recreation and river access advocacy.
